The West Calcasieu Arena operates under the direction of the West Calcasieu Parish Community Center Authority. Established in 1992 by the Louisiana Legislature, this seven member board of directors was given the authority to build, maintain, and operate a multi purpose arena, sports complex, and/or community center within the boundaries of wards 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Calcasieu Parish.
